To access the question and section editor click the Edit button on the left menu and then the Questions & Sections link option.
Control how your assessments will flow is the Questions & Sections from here you can edit each section and question on the on the Section Editor and Question Editor screens.
Questions & Sections
On this screen add, delete and change the order of the questions and sections.
The assessment questions and section can also be printed here.
Move Up and Down changes the order of the sections. To change the order of the questions drag and drop a question to its new position.
Edit allows you to enter the page where the question or section details can be changed.
Delete is used to delete a question or a whole section.
Add a New Question or Section is used to add more questions or sections to the assessment.

Section Editor
This is where you enter the questions and multiple choice options to be answered. The question editor page is divided into the following parts.
- Section Name
- This is the name of your section. For example, on a History assessment you may have a section of questions with the name "World War Two".
- Section Comments/Instructions
- This any text that you would like displayed before the respondent begins answering questions in this section.
- Randomize questions
- With this you can randomize the order of the question in you assessment. You can also set the amount of Questions to Ask. You should leave this as 'All', unless you want the option of randomly asking a small number if questions from a larger 'pool' of possible questions. For example, to ask each respondent 10 random questions from a pool of 100 questions, enter 10.
Question Editor
This is where you enter the questions and multiple choice options to be answered. The question editor page is divided into the following parts.
- Question Text
- This is where you enter the question the respondent will see. Do not enter the question number, we can do that for you. This makes it easier to re-order you questions.
- Answer Options

You can enter at least two different options for the respondent to choose from. Then, select the correct answer for the question by clicking on the check box beside the correct answer. No check boxes are displayed if the question is in a survey or questionnaire section as there cannot be a correct or incorrect answer this type of question. This is where you also choose for points for the question if the question has points and the order that the options are displayed.
You can choose the options from previous questions in the question bank and you can add this questions to the question bank.
- Answer Comment

You can also have a text input comment for the question. Each question must either have a answer options or an answer comment.
You can choose to validate this comment and the size of the field.
- Other Question Elements
- This is used to add a explanation. This explanation is displayed after the question is answered to tell the user why the answer is correct or incorrect. Depending of the configuration it can be displayed right after the question or in the assessment review. Also image relating to this question.
Question Branching
Question branching enables you to add skip and jump logic to your assessments. You can add a single branch in the question editor page additionally you can add a single or multiple branches to a question in the Branching page. Branch jumping can only currently be ahead of the question. If a branch is illegal it will be ignored.
